What We Collect

The Pile Game collects only what's needed to run the leaderboard:

Usernames — if you choose to claim a username, it's stored on our servers so you can post scores to the leaderboard. Usernames are public (visible on the leaderboard) and self-chosen pseudonyms. We do not ask for your real name.

Scores — your game scores are stored with your username on the leaderboard. Scores are public.

Visit count — we count daily unique visitors using a date flag stored in your browser (localStorage). No personal information is tied to this count.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or any personally identifiable information. We do not use cookies. We do not run ads that track you across websites.

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to save your high score, streak, username, and daily visit flag. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted unless you choose to post a score.

Third Parties

The game is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Workers for the leaderboard. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type) as part of their infrastructure. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Sponsor links (RedSwitch.ai, Missouri Metal Buildings) open in a new tab. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Data Deletion

To remove your username and scores from the leaderboard, email us at [email protected] and we'll delete it promptly.
